The Every Artist Manifesto
October 31, 2008
Hi,
This is a rhyme I have been working on for quite some time (pun unintended)
The Every Artist Manifesto
by Kaber Vasuki
I will capture your imagination,
As I let free my own.
I will make you love or hate,
Someone, no one, will know.
Everything you see through my eyes,
In a new light, will be shown.
These are my objectives,
This is my Manifesto.
You can take refugee from your world in mine
When you are bored, I will help you pass time
And when you least expect it,
I will expand the reaches of your mind.
If reality is a statue carved,
In beautiful, shining stone.
My art is the shadow it casts,
And my mind, the light’s source.
Everything you see through my eyes,
You will be pleased to behold.
These are my objectives,
This is my Manifesto.
If I ever fail to live up, to what I just declared,
If I fail in your eyes, and your judgment is fair.
I will try again, because perfect art,
Is something to yearn for, but never to have.
Cheers
Kaber
